The San Benito CISD Special Olympics program provides students with special needs with an opportunity to strengthen their character, develop their physical skills, display their talents, and fulfill their human potential. The program is a year-round sports training and competition program patterned after the Olympic games.
The school district follows the Texas Special Olympics philosophy: people with special needs can-with proper instruction and encouragement- learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports uniquely designed to meet their needs.
The district’s Special Olympics Program would like to encourage parents to give their children an opportunity to participate. The program has an experienced coaching staff ready to serve children with special needs. For further information call Special Services at 361-6221.
